Importing Argentine beef could hurt US ranchers

From KKTV: "Mike Callicrate and other Colorado Springs-area ranchers are raising the alarm after federal suggestions to allow increased beef imports from Argentina."

Why it matters: This puts pressure on local production margins, herd sizes, and local commodity pricing. If ranchers anticipate lower prices or increased competition, that can ripple into many parts of the local agricultural economy (feed demand, land usage, equipment sales).
